The GO TO 2040 planning process began in September 2007 with development of the Regional Vision for 2040. The vision was drafted by CMAP and its stakeholders and then revised based on extensive public input via committees and surveys. CMAP and its partners are now in an intensive research phase to develop a set of indicators for predicting and measuring economic, environmental, social, and cultural variables that affect quality of life. The public can provide input during July and August 2008 in a series of Indicators Workshops. The indicators will be used to gauge the effects of strategies that are being considered to implement the Regional Vision.
