Strategy Panel Discussions

To support the GO TO 2040 plan, CMAP will be hosting a series of panel discussions to discuss specific regional planning strategies. When complete, the GO TO 2040 plan will recommend that the region undertake a number of prioritized actions, which may be policies, investments, or other types of activities. For the plan’s recommendations to be robust, CMAP needs to have an understanding of their benefits and costs. These panel discussions are intended to help develop this understanding.

The purpose of the discussions is to receive feedback from regional experts on CMAP’s technical analysis of specific planning strategies, and they are geared toward participants with prior knowledge of these strategies. Each discussion will be focused on a single strategy, and will begin with a presentation from CMAP staff describing the results of our analysis and the underlying assumptions. Participants will be asked to comment on the assumptions and results, and suggest ways to improve the analysis.

How to Participate

Please click on the "Register Now" link to reserve your spot at the webinar.  You will then be asked to enter your name and email address.  After submitting your information you will receive a confirmation email that contains all the information you will need to join the webinar.  If you do not receive the email automatically please check your spam filter.  If you use Outlook as your primary calendar you can automatically save this information into your personal calendar.

We recommend that you join the webinar a few minutes early to get comfortable with the application if you haven’t used it before. You are welcome to join up to 15 minutes early to ensure that everything is working properly.

To join the discussion on the date and time of the webinar click on the link in the registration confirmation email to join.

You don't need to purchase GoToMeeting or sign up for a trial to join a meeting, but if this is your first time using GoToMeetings you may need to download the application first. Please wait a few seconds while GoToMeeting downloads automatically. Then click "Yes" or "Always" to accept the security credentials and follow the prompts for further instructions.  You will enter the webinar.  There will be a toolbar and the presentation on your window.

Next you will need to call in to hear and be heard.  You will be given a telephone number in the confirmation email, with access code information:

United States: XXX-XXX-XXXX  (10-digit telephone number)
Access Code: XXX-XXX-XXX   (9-digit access code)
Audio PIN: Shown after joining the Webinar (be sure to log in to the webinar before calling so that you have this code available to you)

After you have logged in to the website call the 10-digit phone number that was provided.  It should say “Welcome to GoToMeetings.  Please enter your access code followed by the pound (#) sign.”  Enter the 9-digit access code followed by #.  Next it will ask you for an Audio Pin.  It is located in the right hand toolbar that will appear on your screen after you have logged in to the website.  The Audio PIN will allow you to be able to speak during the webinar.  However, attendees may be muted by the organizer during the presentations and unmuted by the organizer during the discussion period.  A "muted" status will be displayed on your toolbar.

You will also receive a Webinar ID.  This number will only be necessary if you are entering the webinar manually and not from the full link in your confirmation email.  All of the full links to each webinar will be posted on this webpage when they are available.  Please disregard this number if you have the full link.
