The urban design firm Topografis, in collaboration with representatives from the Village of Barrington and CMAP staff, created these example illustrations. Barrington’s steering committee was comprised of Plan Commission members, economic development professionals, and several members of the general public. Over the course of three meetings during spring 2009, ideas from the community representatives and design professionals were placed in the context of CMAP's scenarios.
