Community Design Workshops - FOX RIVER GROVE
The Village of Fox River Grove is located 40 miles northwest of Chicago at the crossroads of McHenry, Cook, Lake, and Kane counties. Nearby access to the Northwest Tollway (Interstate Route 90), local commuter rail service and good arterial roadways have helped Fox River Grove develop into a residential community with a variety of retail shops.
These illustrations were prepared by Conservation Design Forum (CDF), in collaboration with members of the Village's Plan Commission and Planning Department. Together they brainstormed what the Village riverfront could look like, under each of the three regional scenarios under consideration by CMAP for the
GO TO 2040
plan.

The river front is great. But, what about the ugly downtown, broken sidewalks, etc. that don't paint a nice image when people drive thru.
